iGEM Competition Video
I had the opportunity to work with UVU’s #2 iGEM team, also known as the “Bloom Busters”, to create a compelling video and presentation for an international competition in Paris, focused on addressing the critical issue of harmful algal blooms in Utah Lake. This initiative aimed not only to showcase the team's innovative solutions but also to inspire and engage a global audience.
In my role as the director and lead designer, I filmed and edited the video, built the presentation, recorded the voiceovers, and animated various scenes to create a cohesive video that seamlessly integrated the team's core messages with a captivating narrative centered around the Bloom Busters. By focusing on the challenges posed by harmful algal blooms (HABs), I ensured that the content was both informative and visually engaging, enhancing the viewers' understanding and retention.
The video and presentation are designed to stand out among competitors from around the world, reinforcing the iGEM team's commitment to environmental restoration and community impact. This project not only showcases my design and storytelling skills but also my dedication to leveraging multimedia for social good.
